What if the person troubling your heart needs more than your advice? What if they need your intercession?
When someone says, “Please pray for me,” they entrust you with something precious. Samuel said, “God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you” (1 Samuel 12:23). He understood intercession as a responsibility before God.
The Power of Prayer reminds us that prayer must not become a phrase we use when we have run out of words. Take one person who has been on your heart. Call their name before God. Tell Him what you know, ask for wisdom about what you do not know, and add practical care where possible.
I speak over you today: the burden you feel will not end in helplessness. God will give you compassion without despair, faithfulness without weariness, and wisdom to pray. The one whose name you carry has not been forgotten.
